Les exp\u00e9ditions annuelles sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement compos\u00e9es d’une douzaine de professionnels de la sant\u00e9 (chirurgiens, anesth\u00e9sistes, infirmiers, physioth\u00e9rapeutes et logisticiens), provenant g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de diff\u00e9rents h\u00f4pitaux et centres de sant\u00e9 de la province de Barcelone. L’\u00e9quipe varie en fonction de leur disponibilit\u00e9 personnelle, financi\u00e8re et professionnelle. Les chefs d’\u00e9quipe sont stables et exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s dans le domaine, ont une exp\u00e9rience de terrain depuis 2006 et se coordonnent avec les professionnels locaux et les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires du pays.<\/p>\n

COLLABORATEURS DU S\u00c9N\u00c9GAL<\/strong> : ce sont l’ensemble du comit\u00e9 avec lequel nous \u00e9tablissons les modalit\u00e9s de relation, avec qui nous \u00e9valuons les objectifs, les activit\u00e9s et la logistique : la direction de l’h\u00f4pital, la mairie, le Comit\u00e9 de Sant\u00e9, l’Universit\u00e9 et le suivi des activit\u00e9s commission qui repr\u00e9sente la ville.
L’\u00e9quipe s\u00e9n\u00e9galaise, avec qui nous travaillons c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te tout au long de l’ann\u00e9e, participe \u00e0 l’organisation de la campagne : elle \u00e9tale les dates de notre arriv\u00e9e dans la ville, fait le premier tri des patients potentiels, fait les listes, marque les objectifs, passe en revue les installations. , le mat\u00e9riel n\u00e9cessaire et nos besoins une fois sur place.<\/p>\n

C’est en 2006 que Dra. Teresa Sell\u00e9s travaillait avec la caravane de solidarit\u00e9 en Afrique de l’Ouest et par hasard, elle est tomb\u00e9e sur une salle d’op\u00e9ration abandonn\u00e9e \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital de Thionk Essyl, en Casamance, au sud du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. Le manque de chirurgiens et d\u2019infrastructures le rendait inutilisable.
L\u00e0, Teresa a trouv\u00e9 un peuple sympathique, des gens qui vivaient dans la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9, o\u00f9 pour vivre ils devaient travailler intens\u00e9ment aux travaux des champs ou \u00e0 la p\u00eache, ce qui leur causait de terribles hernies et les invalidait. Parfois, cela les privait de travail et donc de subsistance.
Peu de temps apr\u00e8s, il a contact\u00e9 les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires locales et, avec beaucoup de temps et de patience, il a commenc\u00e9 son activit\u00e9 chirurgicale avec une petite \u00e9quipe de sant\u00e9.
Ann\u00e9e apr\u00e8s ann\u00e9e, Teresa a collabor\u00e9 avec plusieurs ONG, menant des campagnes de sant\u00e9 et des interventions chirurgicales jusqu’\u00e0 ce qu’elle puisse cr\u00e9er sa propre ONG.<\/p>\n
